Form Cracker is a powerful tool for horse racing enthusiasts. It is designed to help you to analyse the form and other data influencing the performance of each horse in a race and then to predict the most likely outcome. It is more than a simple prediction utility though and you can calculate how much you could win for a particular bet, keep track of your bets, and store the details of your favourite horses, jockeys, trainers and races. You can enter the details for any race you want to analyse and it can take as little as a few minutes work using information freely available in national newspapers and on the Internet. As you enter or download race details, horses can be added to the database with a couple of clicks of the mouse. Each horse's rating is stored along with details of its most recent races. You can attach your own notes to each horse and it will quickly build up into comprehensive and valuable resource to help you to analyse races and spot potential winners. There are jockey, trainer and course databases too.

Windows 8 estimates: 500 million users in 2013

Microsoft expects to launch a new wave of optimism with Windows 8. In a recent statement, Steve Ballmer, chief executive at Microsoft, estimates that Windows 8 will reach a total of about 500 million users by the end of 2013.
